Newcastle to Tannum Sands via Armidale

If you are heading to Tannum Sands from Newcastle one of the most pleasant ways to drive there is inland via Armidale. It’s really not advisable to do the whole trip in one go unless you have another person to share the driving with.

If you decide to go inland rather than up the Pacific Highway one of the places you might like to stop on the way is Armidale. It’s a good steeping point. There are a number of quality motels available. One of the best in town and certainly the closest to the local bowling club is Club Motel Armidale. Make sure you check availability before you go because there are often events on in the city and lots of business travellers pass through on their way to other parts in the north and west of NSW.

Albury to Tannum Sands via Griffith and Armidale

Townsville to Tannum Sands via Mackay

From the north of Tannum Sands lets assume you are coming via Townsville. A handy half way point on the 10hr journey is Mackay. The Cool Palms Motel is a handy stop over for a quiet nights sleep before departing Mackay.
